Posts are not linking directly from google

  It appears that particular posts on my blog do not have direct links in Google. Instead, the reader is taken to an archive page for the month the post appeared where they have to scroll through the page to find the actual post they are looking for.

  Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  There’s nothing wrong with that. Google indexes every page on your blog, the home page, the page pages, the posts pages, the tag pages, the category pages, the month pages, the year pages…everything.

  Unfortunately there is no way to control what Google will throw at you in search results.

  If an individual post has more links to it than an archive page, it’ll come out on top in Google searches, but that generally applies only to very linkbaity posts. Few posts will outrank an archive or category on a regular blog.
