Posts are not transferred to Facebook properly

Hi there,
since a few days the post do not transfer properly to facebook via publicise. Either they do not show at all or if they show they only do on my timeline and not in newsfeed and they do not show with the header text and featured image.
I followed steps from previous forum discussions like debug fb and clear cache, disconnect, reconnect but no result.Would you have a clou if this issue is purely on fb side?

Post the snippet and link manually to Facebook re: your most recent post to save time first and then proceed as follows.
1. Try flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/
2. (a) Try the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.
Please note that reconnecting Publicize with Facebook and/or with Twitter does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

My problem seems similar to the one above: posts are publicizing to my FB page, but the image being picked up is no longer the featured image for each blog post. Instead, the FB page is displaying my banner (?) image (the constant one at the top of my wordpress page) for each and every post.
I did the disconnect/reconnect thing, following all instructions, including the most important step 3, but the problem persists. Nothing in trouble shooting about this. Not sure about moving to Graffiti — that is probably above my head.

Your issue is not the same issue. Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with this. When using Publicize, we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. So. On my FB page, I am seeing that same image for every post; HOWEVER when I went to a friend’s timeline who had shared the post when it posted automatically to his FB newsfeed, that blog post’s unique image was on HIS timeline (and must have shown up in his newsfeed that way, too, right, then he clicked ‘Share’ from there?).
Still nothing for me to do? All Facebook’s deal? Clearly FB is picking up that unique image somehow, but it’s not making it onto MY FB page all of the sudden (going back to 9/29, with the exception of one post, which did, for some reason, pick up the image.) I would also swear that at one time my FB page DID have unique images for at least some of those days . . . surely I would have noticed before now if they had been identical images all this time.

yes I followed all the steps already 3 times, even waited overnight to make the connection again, posted a new post and same issue still.I guess it does have to do with fb itself and not with wp settings or the publicise app…. The issues described by salerese ring a bell to me too – a week ago posts appeared showing the featured image, the header and a box with the beginning of my text. Now either nothing or just text and the 1st pic I posted into my text…
I did read the forum posts the last 3 days and tried all options… maybe worthwhile reporting to fb help centre… I will try!

Facebook makes changes frequently so it’s not out of line to check with their help center.

P.S. I strongly suggest you post manually knowing the ones that were missed will not be retro-posted by the app. It posts only the most recent.

Thank you. Yes, I did fail to read the very last item in the list, but not sure I see the answer there. I think it did help me understand the ‘FB cache’ concept better now, and hopefully improve my vocabulary at least. I’m still a bit fuzzy on the ‘blavatar’ thing, but I don’t think that’s coming into play.
I am using the pilcrow theme, but I am not customizing the header, nor using featured images. We have the same header (and always have – no recent changes), and the unique image that always used to show up on FB was just an uploaded image that we put at the top of every post. So I guess I don’t understand why the uploaded image is no longer being picked up by FB.
As I said, did the disconnect/reconnect.
I have run debug about four times on the same url just in the course of trying to get a handle on it, but running it has never changed the way FB displays the post on the page.When I run debug, a page of data appears related to the URL, and the images that show up in the og:image field are the uploaded image and two gravatars – the header image doesn’t even show up when running debug. After running debug, the appearance of the post on the FB page doesn’t change.
We only changed the uploaded image after publication for one of the many posts that seem to be affected. We made that change about two weeks ago, and did not follow up to see how or even if it changed on the FB page. Of course, now anyway, that post is displaying the header image, like every other post for September and October except for one.
It mystifies me still that the uploaded image does show up on other people’s newsfeeds, just not on our FB page.
I did post a question in FB help. It joins many others that have gotten no response from FB :-/
One FB user did say that the problem corrected itself for her when she deleted all FB ‘Like’ buttons from her blog. That seems extreme.
Thanks for you help. I do appreciate it. Hard to work with non-techie people like me I am sure.
