Posts’ categories hierarchy corrupted

  I was creating a menu and using the categories to do so. I had to make some changes in the wording of the categories. It seems that the software doesn’t handle well the integrity of the categories. They show correctly in other parts of the blog but if I try to see them in the categories function they don’t show up. I’m trying to rebuild it but the posts now show the categories duplicated. I remove the relationship to the post but I can’t delete the duplicates.

  I had to make some changes in the wording of the categories.

  When we create a category we are creating a URL. If we change the words in that category URL we originally used then we create a 404 – page not found – original link broken; and the word change results in another new URL. In your case it sounds to me like this is what has happened. As I must leave now I shall leave it to another Volunteer to help you fix this.

  Thank you. Meanwhile I’m recreating the categories and hiearchy and reassining them to the posts. Later on I want to use the main grouping categories to create a menu. That’s the intent. I want readers to have more options to navigate to the texts.
