Posts disappearing

Why does my post disappear when I save a draft or publish? This has never happened before and I’ve done 100+ blogs with WordPress.

Were you writing the post via Posts -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard, an app, or https://wordpress.com/#!/post/ ?

I was on my blog’s Dashboard, selected New, then Post from the left navigation panel.
The same thing happened later in the afternoon when I created a new Page. Got the page completed, clicked on Preview and “Poof” it was gone.

After you clicked preview, did you go back to the tab you were editing in, or did you click the Edit link in the tab you were previewing it in?

I closed the tab with the Preview which took me back to the tab where I was editing the post. Which then had no text visible.

Hm, I’m unable to duplicate the problem as described.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

I’m using Firefox, Version 19.0.2 which was just updated on 3/9/2013. I was using the exact same setup yesterday when I was working on another post that I saved to draft.
I’ve tried all your steps without success.

Would you please try updating to the latest version, Firefox 21?

I’ve upgraded to Firefox 21.0, but still cannot recover the page that I created earlier today.
The blog post I was working on, I was able to publish that earlier this evening by restoring the previous version, making all my edits and inserts again and then Publish without preview. I had to do this five or six times before I was all done editing and the final product turned out ok.
The missing page is the current issue–along with how did this happen in the first place. I’ve never had a problem with Firefox and WordPress working together.

Using the more update browser won’t recover the lost content, it’s gone for good, but it will hopefully prevent this from every happening again.
