Posts Displaying Incorrectly

  My posts are displaying a strange way. I post daily and the entire previous day’s post is being pulled over to where the right-side menu normally is. The right-side menu is being pushed to the bottom of the page.

  I tried removing several posts to see if they were causing the issue and it didn’t help. I haven’t done anything to the appearance of the blog in weeks.

  I am using the theme “Connections”.

  Is anyone else having problems with how the Connections theme or WordPress.com in general is displaying? Any ideas on how to fix it?

  I just checked again and now only part of the heading is displaced (not the entire post).

  This is generally caused by an open tag in one of your posts.

  Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”

  Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

  Thank you! That seems to have fixed it.

  Apparently a post from about 5 days ago picked this afternoon to go rogue.

  You’re welcome, and that change at settings > writing should keep it from happening again (unless one goes rogue, which is known to happen once in a while).

  Well it is displaying incorrectly again and it now seems that no amount of updating my posts is helping.

  Any other ideas?

  I will keep going back and updating posts in the mean time.

  I’m not seeing any issues on your blog using Firefox or Safari. Nothing in the sidebar that shouldn’t be there.
