posts displaying side by side

Hello, I am very new to the blogging world so I’m not even sure if I can describe my question correctly. Basically, some of my posts are not posting vertically, they posted side by side. After March 16, I have posts which are not expanding to the full width of the main column like normal. In the leftover space on the right, posts are filling in , even if it cuts off the picture.

I am using MistyLook (by Sadish) theme.

Here is the site so you can see what I mean:

The way it looks below March 16 is what I want, the way it looks above March 16 is the problem. The posts are not filling into the proper width.
    Thank you!

That is one seriously messed-up blog, and it’s because you’ve got bad code in your posts. This almost invariably happens because you’re cutting and pasting either from Word or from elsewhere in the web. It’s a bad idea, because this is what happens.

To fix this, go to your Settings and ensure “correct invalidly nested XHTML” is selected. Then, set your blog to display one post at a time. Then page back until you see the post that’s caused the problem. Edit that post in any small way, eg changing a period to a semicolon or something, update the post, and all should be fixed. You can then set your blog to display the regular number of posts.

That XHTML setting should prevent this from happening in future, but if you DO paste from Word, use the Paste from Word button on the advanced toolbar, which you can get on the Write Post page by clicking the very last icon on the right above the box you type in. You’ll see the clipboard with the Word document on it: click that and paste in your content.

Thank you for your rapid response. I don’t see this:

    “correct invalidly nested XHTML”

on my Settings page. Can you be more specific about where to find this?

    THANKS!

Fully, it reads “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and it’s on your Settings->Writing page, under Formatting.

Settings > Writing: “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”.

Then edit the post “Turning over a new leaf”; that’s where the problem is.
