Posts does not appear under categories posted to.

Hi,
My problem is that I would like to run a photoblog, where there are different topics under which different images appear. I thought that it could be resolved with using categories. One category is “Dreams”, which is about my appearances catching my eye, an other is called “Slovakian nature”, where I post landscapes from South-Slovakia. My problem is that if I post a picture under a certain category, when I press “Preview” after “Publish”, I see the image under that corresponding category, and the category in the navbar of the site is highlighted, so everything is perfect. But when I type the url of my blog: szpevak.wordpress.com , every uploaded image comes on this url, on this page, and when I navigate at the navbar to a category, like Slovakian nature, I see not the image, I posted there, only “Posted April 21, 2011 by Imre Szpevák in Slovakian nature — Edit” and “Leave a comment”, and when I click “Leave a comment”, then appears the image. We assign Categories to post. We cannot assign them to individual images. I could be wrong but I believe this problem stems from your not understanding how the image gallery function works on wordpress.com software.
A gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. If you upload images using the Add an Image button while editing/creating the post or page, they will be attached automatically. If you upload images directly to the media library from Media -> Add New, you will need to attach them to a post or page before they will appear in a gallery. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

Dear timethief, thank you for your answer. My main problem is that I want two or even three image galleries in one page. One fo”Dreams”, one for “Slovakian nature”, one for “the Place I Live, the Place I Like”. How can I realize it?

I am not so silly, but I do not understand wordpress, maybe it can be said that it is not very much intuitive.

It is normal that images do not show up when viewing category archives. See here for an explanation and a workaround (see note 3)
