Posts don’t appear in the front page

Why is it that my new posts don’t show up in my front page? Is there anything I need to do to get it to do that? The titles appear in my “Recent Posts” column, and if you click there, the entry pops up. But the front page does not change. I’ve noticed that other blogs do have the new posts in their front pages. Is it the template I am using? Or do I need to program something there?

I’m seeing all your posts just fine, but I do have the following to offer.
Images must be 640px wide or less (that is the width of the posting area on twenty ten) or it will “break” your blog at some point.
Secondly, since your image files are quite large at around 200k each, and since you are putting several images in each post, I would strongly suggest going to settings > reading and setting your blog to show no more than 2 or 3 posts per page. This will keep page loading times reasonable, and also since the search engines (google at least) now consider page loading times when determining search engine ranking, you are less likely to take a hit on search engine ranking.
Lastly there are still a lot of people out there on slower internet connection (under 1.5Mbps) so you always need to consider them also. The patience of people on the web is declining and they are more likely to click away if a page loads too slowly.

One other note, browsers are hanging onto and using cached files far more often now than in the past, so if a post does not show up for you when you publish it, clear your browser cache and then reload that page.

Thanks guys! I will post smaller images and change the settings so only two or three entries show on the page. I am still trying to figure this out :-)

My latest blog thisismy2c.wordpress.com/2011/01/16/banyana-banyana-augustine-makalakalane-and-safa/ comes up via archives, but is not at the top of my home page …
For info, i’m using the Neutra theme by Artmov, and all software & plugins are up to date.
I’ve tested on Safari and Explorer browsers, and have retried after clearing caches.
Any thoughts?
