Posts don't appear on the reader

  Hi Guys. Hope someone can help as I’m pulling my hair out! I have recently transfered my blog from wp.com to wp.org. Ever since, my new posts do not appear on the wordpress reader and I have received no notifications. I have tried to manually add a feed code on the sidebar but would like to get this fixed as I have a new blog and need to build my audience! My blog is http://www.travelshutter.net and my old wp.com is http://travelshutter.wordpress.com. Hope somebody can help ;)

  Hi there,

  While our Jetpack plugin provides quite a bit of the functionality of a site hosted at WordPress.com, it does not provide all of it. Sites which are not hosted at WordPress.com do not get inserted into the Reader for all audiences to read.

  If, however, someone has specifically Followed your blog and are a WordPress.com user then it will show up in their Reader feed.

  In regard to not getting emails, I took a look at your site, and while you are set as a Follower, you are set to only receive messages in the WordPress.com Reader, and not to have any messages emailed out to you. You can change those settings here:

  thanks for your help! i’m still not sure why I am not receiving notifications when someone has liked a post. it seems strange that I have received no likes for any of my posts after the migration?! has it anything to do with the author? I have just had a look at my latest post and where the ‘like this’ button is for wordpress, it just says loading?! Sorry but I just can’t understand this. I have had a look at other blogs that are self hosted or have their own domain and they have plenty of wordpress likes. Sorry for the confusion but I am new to wordpress and just want to build my audience to the maximum!

  In regards to you not getting any notifications of Like’s on your new self-hosted site, unfortunately there isn’t much that we can help you with, as we are focused on the WordPress.com sites.

  You may want to reach out to whoever you are hosting your blog with or you can also go to the forums at:

  http://wordpress.org/support

  The folks on those forums may be able to help out!
