Posts fail to save or publish

    Hi, I have used WordPress for a long time, and have been able to publish posts over recent weeks. But suddenly I get a heap of messages saying that “changes have not been saved”, or similar, and not only that but “publishing failed”. There is a permanent loop here. I have saved the text in another format, but I really would like to publish – the whole point of the exercise. There is a similar thread in the Help centre, but no real resolution. Can anyone please explain what is happening, and why – and how I get the Publish button to obey.

    Hi again,

    After the dozen or so attempts to publish which prompted the above question, I tried again and randomly the system worked, with a green tick message to say the post has been published. That’s great in so far as my report goes out, but I’m still puzzled about the procedure, so would be grateful for any hint about to clear the problem if it recurs. Thanks.
