Some of my blog posts are written in Hebrew and although they display on the actual site appropriately, when followers receive my Hebrew posts, words are in the wrong order- what do I do?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

This is because of your language setting in Settings > General, which is currently set to English. This determines how certain things are done, including how your emails are formatted.

There are two solutions to this issue:

    1) Before you publish a Hebrew post, change the language setting on your site to Hebrew, publish the post and then revert to English after publishing the post, or

    2) Create a new site for publishing in Hebrew so that you can set the language of each site correctly and not have to worry about this.

If there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know.

    Thank you for your suggestion
I tried this but it didnt help. The problem is when I write in Hebrew I have some English words included in the article. As soon as an English word appears, the whole structure of the sentence changes. I tried both in Hebrew and in English. I must say, in the past this hasnt been a problem. With all my other Hebrew posts, my followers recieved the article with all the wording in the correct order. Now Im not even able to write the document on the wordpress post page as every sentence needs re-arranging

    Hi there,

I did some research and found a post about combining Hebrew and English in the same blog. You’ll have to excuse my ignorance, because I’m not too familiar with RTL (Right to Left), but this post explains that you can wrap the Hebrew portions in a div tag, which specify that the direction is RTL and that the language is Hebrew.

I tried this out for myself and the results appear to be successful (see here: https://daclements.wordpress.com/2014/03/27/bi-lingual/).

Is this what you’re trying to achieve? If you’re trying to mix Hebrew and English in the same sentence, you could put the Hebrew in some span tags with the same markup as in that example.

Here is the code that I used for that post:

<div style="text-align:justify;" dir="rtl" lang="he">ב בקר בידור אגרונומיה, מלא שנתי גרמנית של. מתן בה אחרות ביוני למחיקה, סדר פיסול לערכים של, ערכים הראשי סוציולוגיה עוד על. חפש של ישראל אחרות מבוקשים, את ברית אספרנטו שער, את המשפט איטליה קצרמרים רבה. רבה טבלאות לויקיפדים מה, אחד ברית משופרות של. בדף מה שונה הבקשה משחקים.</div>

<p>English goes here. It doesn't have a div tag around it, but it reads left to right, because the blog language setting is English.</p>

This is another English sentence, but there is some Hebrew <span dir="rtl" lang="he">ב בקר בידור</span> in the middle.

Let me know if this helps solve your problem, or if you’re still having issues.
