Posts in Pages

I would like to set up a page for my son to write his own posts to. Is there a way to write a post and have it show up on a page, other than the “home” page? Could it appear similar to the home page, with his own posts, links, etc.?
Thank you for any info.
RoyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t believe this is possible here @ WP.com because pages and post are different in many ways please refer to this documentation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
What you could do is register a new free blog for your son here –> http://en.wordpress.com/signup/ if you don’t want the blog registered under the same username and email then you would need to logout before visiting the signup link.

Why not just get him a blog?
What you are proposing is far more complex than what it may appear to be to you. SIGH …

@tonjug Please don’t high jack forum threads for the sole purpose of link dropping to drive traffic to your blog this is not allowed and is considered as spamming the forums which could get your forum posting privileges taken away.

ummm:
Apparently
“Cooper is Eight!”
too young to have a blog at WordPress? or am I mistaken?At any rate, “cooper” could have a category on the family blog called “cooper” so if readers want to read what “cooper” writes about, then they can click on the category “cooper” to see all of his posts>

@Roy
Please read this. A blog has only one running page that the posts you create will be published on with the most recent post at the top. Static Pages and Posts are different. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/After you have read that then start reading here … as there is a sort of work around that you could use … however, I recommend that you get your son his own blog.

@Roy
There are two themes you can use that will allow you to have Categories acorss the horizonatl menu at the top of the blog, rather than static Pages.>Appearance > Inove
>Appearance > MonochromeIf either on of those themes that are already have this built-in option do not suit you, then there is a more complex workaround that will work on some themes.

really?
I thought I read somewhere that wp bloggers were supposed to be some age: 12, 14, or 16??? (I don’t recall) Been too long since I’ve read TOS could be! -
From http://en.wordpress.com/tos/ : “The Website is available only to individuals who are at least 13 years old.”

@Tess
I’m aware of COPA. Let me fly this pass you.I’m assuming the Dad would get another blog for the son and keep the sign-in and password information for his son’s blog a secret. That means the son would only be working on the blog, after Dad signed in and was there to supervise his son. This does not breach COPA because the blog would be registered by and to the Dad.
Capice?

Thanks for taking the time to assist, “tc3k”, “timethief” and “1tess”. Much appreciated. You all have wonderful blogs.
Yes. Cooper is eight. He asked tonight, if he could write his own entry about his game. I thought it would be nice for him to have his own page, with his own posts. Short of that, I will encourage him to enter his thoughts regardless. I think having the entries on one blog is more convenient for extended family and friends, which is the purpose of our humble site.

@Roy
What you have done is created a static Page for Cooper. That means he will have to edit it to add more to it, and it’s a good thing he’s only 8 because the page will grow longer and longer and longer. Pages can’ have categories assigned to them.What Tess and I were trying to explain is that if you made a Category called “Cooper” then every time he created an individual post he could assign his Category name to the post. Then you could place a Category widget in the sidebar and when anyone clicked “Cooper” all of the posts would be there under that one Category called “Cooper”.
