Posts – Layout – A suggestion
-
Maybe this is already possible but I don’t know for sure… As my Blog grows and includes some fairly long posts I thought it would be good to have the following option:
That the first 10 posts (or any other user-defined amount) appear in full length, after which the other posts appear as headings or summaries. (I would rather keep all the posts on one scrollable page)

It is. All you need to do is edit those posts and put in the More tag, icon 13:

There is no automatic way to do it, though. But you can’t keep ALL your blog on one page and still have it load properly, once it’s any decent size. I have thousands of posts on my blog, and it would take someone on dialup literally days to load it. Why not just pick a big enough number like 12? Very, very few people will scroll past that many anyway, and besides: limiting the number of posts on the front page to a moderate amount will increase your hits overall.
