posts missing

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi
I just logged on to my blog to add a new post and discovered that all my previous posts, all the way back to July 30th 2013 are missing. Whats more, I normally copy my posts to a page, so that they are in an easily readable, continuous format. They are gone from this as well. The page is “Nissan Leaf Diary” and all my copies of the posts are gone there too. It also doesn’t show them in any revisions. Can you tell me whats going on.
    Regards

    Hi there,

I’m looking at your blog’s records and there’s no record of any posts being deleted since August 18th, 2012. Even in WordPress.com staff tried to interfere with your content, there would be record of it there.

Similarly, on all of our back-end records the last time that ‘Nissan Leaf Diary” page was edited was July 30th, 2013. If it was edited between then and now it would appear it wasn’t saved at all.

Do you have any information on how many posts are missing, or what their titles were? When they would’ve been written? If you recall, or have that information in social media feeds, etc, please let me know so I can continue to investigate.

In general, if posts are saved at all under a blog, you’ll see them listed in your All Posts page here:

    https://selfficiency.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php

Do you edit posts often? Is it possible you unintentionally backdated some posts, moving them to an incorrect date? If so, they’d still appear in that list in the order of their new publish date.

Please let me know with that further information.

    Best,

    -Alex G.
