Posts not appearing in reader

  Hi –

  I’ve just been told that my posts are no longer appearing in the reader for those who follow my blog as of about a week ago. I also follow my own blog and have noticed that my posts are not there. My blog originally had a different URL, but I changed the URL about a month ago. The old URL recently expired with Bluehost – so I wonder if this has something to do with it? I have changed over everything to the new URL though, so I’m not at all sure what to do.

  Are you speaking of http://www.theloveofbooks.co.uk/?

  We didn’t have any Reader feed for that domain – the Reader was still using your own domain, and that didn’t return any RSS feed.

  I’ve manually updated it and forced the feed to refresh, and now see you rmost recent posts at https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/92925300

  Hi –

  Yes that is the domain I’m talking about, but I’m a bit confused because that is my own domain?

  Thank you though – do I need to do anything on my end?

  You don’t have to do anything further. Even though you updated the domain with Jetpack, it didn’t update in the Reader. That’s fixed now, so going forward your posts should appear again.

  Hi – my posts are now appearing, but it now seems that no one can subscribe to my blog? When they try it says that there has been an error. Do you have any idea what the issue is here?

  Since your site is not hosted with WordPress.com (it is a site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org but hosted on Bluehost), you’ll want to look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
