Posts not publicized on LinkedIn profile
-
Getting my blog posts to appear on my LinkedIn profile used to work fine. It hasn’t been for some while, but now I really need them to be there. It’s driving me insane – I keep reconnecting, clearing the cache, all that is suggested, but nothing seems to work. Argggghhh!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you try following the steps for reconnecting LinkedIn here?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services
The main noticeable difference is clearing your browser’s cookies after disconnecting LinkedIn.
Let me know if that works!

Just tried yet again with another browser (I am also driving my followers crazy with publishing test posts to try it out each time). Still nothing. I don’t see “Applications” on my LinkedIn profile. Saw somewhere that that was needed. Could that be the problem???

Hi there,
I don’t see any errors related to your LinkedIn connection from our end. However, LinkedIn has made some changes to how they display your activity and posts you share there.
Can you please check your recent activity on LinkedIn to make sure nothing is showing up there? LinkedIn has a guide for viewing recent activity from your profile.
If you don’t see your blog posts there, please let me know and we can keep investigating this for you.

Hi Rachel,
Following the viewing activity instructions, I now see a list of posts, but they still not visible on my profile. Does that mean that only my connections can see them? Because if I consult my own profile being logged out (as if I were another person) I can’t see them either. It was *so* much better before. -
Is there any other way to make blog posts appear within the profile – manually or as some kind of insertion??

You can adjust your LinkedIn activity feed settings to see who can view your posts on LinkedIn. From there you can make them public or restrict them to your connections.

There’s nothing WordPress.com can do to change where those posts appear on LinkedIn — that’s entirely controlled by LinkedIn and how they design the profile pages. You’ll need to check with LinkedIn support for more help with that.

It looks from the forums as if WordPress has been excluded by LinkedIn and that this feature is no longer possible. Maybe you should consider taking the option off from your side too, to avoid people wasting time trying to fix the issue?

I’m not sure I understand — you mentioned that you found your posts on LinkedIn in the activity feed, right? Although WordPress.com can’t control where LinkedIn chooses to display your posts on LinkedIn, the posts are still being publicized there and are viewable to anyone following your activity feed or looking at it on your LinkedIn profile.

Hi Rachel,
No, I think actually you or one of your colleagues mentioned the activity feed. I can’t see my posts at all, and haven’t been able to for months. Before it used to work just fine. -
Sorry, I must have misunderstood earlier. I just checked your LinkedIn profile, and when I view your recent activity (linked from your profile) I see all of your publicized posts from your site:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/activities/juliette-scott+0_0E8PabqcaUZyG526OLTswF
Can you see those posts on that page?
-
I can see the posts at the page link you sent, but I can’t see anything at all in my profile (nor any link to recent activity).
The aim of it all for me (and I guess for many people) is to have the posts appearing on the profile page to add to its interest.

You can find the link to your recent activity by hovering on the down arrow next to the “Edit Profile” button on your profile, next to your profile photo. (Other LinkedIn users will see that arrow next to the “Connect” or “Send a message” buttons on your profile.)
If you have concerns about the posts not appearing directly on your profile, I’d recommend you contact LinkedIn about that — WordPress.com is able to publicize your posts to LinkedIn, but LinkedIn controls where your posts appear on their end.
