Posts not publishing or saving as drafts

I’ve been trying to publish a new post for over twenty-four hours. It won’t even save it as a draft.
Whenever I press ‘Publish’ a red banner appears at the top of the screen saying ‘Publish of post failed.’
Similarly, whenever it goes to autosave the red banner reappears, saying ‘Draft failed to save.’
What am I supposed to do with this?

Thanks for your reply.
I am using the newest version of my browser. This appears to be an issue with WordPress, since it’s allowing me to update already-existing posts, just refusing to publish or save any new ones.
What can be done about this?

This is tricky because I cannot reproduce the problem you are describing on my test blog, and I don’t see that anyone else is reporting having the same trouble. What I can do is try to help you work out what might be going wrong. The first thing that comes to mind is that It could be a network or firewall or proxy issue. Are you using an internet connection behind a strong firewall or a network that has strict restrictions? (I know some workplaces have those kinds of things in place.) Whether you are or you aren’t, do you by chance have a smart phone with a browser you can use to try making and saving a draft there? Or do you have access to a computer in a different location you can test from?
Also, to confirm, you are trying to post to theoxfordphilosopher.com while logged in as theoxfordphilosopher correct?
