Posts not showing on my blog
-
Hi, there has been a problem on my blog for a couple months now and I couldn’t find a solution. My blog is https://unartistaminimalista.wordpress.com
When I publish a new post, the previous 6 or 7 posts disappear, so there is always visible only the latest post and then the old ones. The missing posts appear as normally published in the blog posts list and in fact each of them was visible on the blog when it was the latest post. Scrolling down at the bottom of the page I noticed that, before the older posts are loaded, the missing posts appear for a moment, but with messed up layout.
I tried changing settings, themes and the theme settings, but nothing happened. I never used plugins.
Any idea? Thank you very much. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue. You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
Hope this gets resolved soon. :)

Hi –
I don’t see any problem when viewing the site. torres126, did you take a look at the site?
When the site loads I scroll down to see all of the most recent posts. This is how the theme should work and is the same in the Penscratch-2 Demo site.
https://penscratch2demo.wordpress.com/
Please try to share more information with me about what you are experiencing since I don’t seem to have replicated it on my computer. Are you viewing the site through a mobile device by chance?

I did and I saw gaps between the timephrame of posts, so I tagged staff in case they’d be able to see posts on the dashboard but not on the blog itself.

Hi, I try to explain better: on my blog now it is shown my last post from july 29, followed by a post from june 10. The problem is that between that 2 posts there were other 6 posts I published that are not showing. Everytime I publish a new post, the previous 6 “disappear” from the public view if the blog, even if they are shown as published in the dashboard and they will be listed in the reader if I search posts published by me. So I can be certain that the missing posts are published, but they don’t show anyway.
If you take a look on the blog, you will notice a double line after the post from july 29 instead of one. The missing posts should appear between that 2 lines, and when you load the page they are even shown for a moment before disappearing. The problem is the same viewing my blog from pc or phone. I tried viewing my blog from other pcs and phones but the error is always present.

What language are you using for your post titles? Could that be causing a conflict? Apart from the first one the ones that display are in English. If I refresh your site I see a post from 22nd July with a non-english title but it disappears when I scroll down.
-
I used random symbols for the titles in the last month, but the problem was there before when I used titles in english. Anyway, I tried changing all the “graphic” titles with english ones, but nothing changed.
Yes, the 6 posts from June 23 to July 22 appear when you refresh the page, but suddenly disappear. When the post from july 22 was the last one, the previous six posts were not shown, and so on. Every time I publish a new post, the previous 6 disappear and the previous 7th reappear.

I can see the posts missing from the home page if I view the date based archives:
https://unartistaminimalista.wordpress.com/2018/07/
https://unartistaminimalista.wordpress.com/2018/06/It looks like a html error in one post the posts, combined with the infinite scroll feature, is preventing some of the posts from being shown on the homepage.
Please try disabling infinite scrolling in Settings → Writing:
-
I tried before disabling infinite scroll, but then again I had errors.
I disabled it again to show you: now the missing posts are shown, but the layout is all messed up: the order of the posts is wrong as you see more recent posts at the bottom of the page, with bad layout, plus the button “older posts” is shown after the last post and not at the bottom of the page. -
now the missing posts are shown, but the layout is all messed up:
Thank you for disabling infinite scrolling, it confirms the cause of the problem is what I described in my previous comment.
The layout of some of the later posts now breaks because there’s a still html error in one of them.
We now need to find which specific post contains that error.
Please set the most recent post to”draft” in Post Settings > Status.

Then check how the layout looks on your site.
If that’s the post that causes the problem, setting it to draft should fix the layout, since the error will be temporarily removed from the page.
If that doesn’t fix the layout, please repeat that process one by one for the posts in July until the layout appears correctly.
The error appears to be in one of the 3 most recent posts.
-
I reverted to draft the last 3 posts, but the error remained. So I went backward “drafting” the remaining posts from the most recent backwards, and the layout normalized only after I reverted to draft the 9th older post.
So I thought the problem was in that post (it only uses standards characters) and re-published the latest post, but the layout messed up again. So, now I think there is more than one post with html errors.
Thank you, I’ll try to figure out what kind of error there was and in which posts. I published 500+ posts before and I never had problems!
