Posts not showing up in correct categories

    I’m having trouble getting my posts to show up in
    the correct category pages. When I link the post to the
    appropriate category it shows up only in the
    main page. I have various pages that have no content
    when I click on them unless I click on default page.

    I had another WordPress blog at one time
    and did not have this issue.
    Could it be related to having created a static page?

    My permalinks look find.

    I simply set up a blog with default page, static page
    and followed the steps to adding categories etc…
    but my posts do not show up where they are allocated.

    Also, I have a gallery page and the calendar and videos
    that show up on my main page are showing up on top
    of my photo uploads in the gallery page.

    Not sure why this is.

    Hi there!

    To make the posts display in the correct category, you’ll want to add those categories to your menu, as explained here:

    Organize Posts with Categories

    If you add a “page” instead of “category” to the menu, it will not work.
    Also, make sure that each post has the corresponding category added to it.

    I’m not sure what do you mean by this, are you referring to the widgets? These will be displayed in the widget area they were added to, in your case it seems to be the right sidebar.
