Posts not showing up in reader

I heard that sometimes there are glitches that cause our posts to not been showing on the reader despite being under 10 tags and even after several hours. I have a self hosted domain. Can someone please help with this? Thanks.

I have a self hosted domain.
This is wordpress.COM and our wordpress.COM reader displays only posts published on sites that are hosted by wordpress.COM. Your site is not hosted by wordpress.COM.

No, you haven’t seen any posts published on any self-hosted wordpress.ORG install in the wordpress.COM Reader or on our WordPress.COM Topics (Categories and Tags) pages.
You could be referring to the fact that we can follow any site hosted anywhere in our Reader here https://wordpress.com/following/edit

Sure they can tell you exactly what I told you. (I predate all support staff members being on Staff except one.)

It would not be fair to wordpress.COM users to have to compete with those who purchase hosting and run wordpress.ORG software to have their posts display in the wordpress.COM Raeder and on our Categories and Tags pages. If that ever happens here I will never answer another support question and will publish a post that will curl your toes.

I am looking at self-hosted posts from other blogs showing up on my reader right now. Can you then explain why they are showing up if you say they aren’t supposed to?

Hi there,
I’ve reported this to our developers to look into, as your posts should be showing in the Reader to your followers.
The number of tags you add is irrelevant in this case, however: That only applies to WordPress.com sites that are featured in the tag search in the Reader. Self-hosted sites like yours do not appear in tag searches, so it doesn’t really matter how many tags and categories you use – that won’t prevent your posts showing in the feed of people following your site.

This happens sometimes with Jetpack sites. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from our developers.

I just heard back from our developers and your posts should now again be in the Reader. If you still don’t see it, please try clearing your browser cache.

This happens occasionally with Jetpack sites, but we’re constantly working on improving both Jetpack and the Reader so it will happen less and less. Now that your site’s Reader feed is fixed it should be okay going forward.

It looks like you also deleted another post, Wednesday Wisdom, which might have been confusing the Reader as the feed we had stored did not match the feed appearing on your site.
I forced an update and it’s showing your latest posts for me now. If you refresh the Reader it should be working for you as well.

I’m sorry to be bringing this up again, but lately the same issue has persisted. My past couple of posts have not shown up on the reader. Do you think you could please resolve this? Many thanks, your help is much appreciated.

I am new on WordPress, and I wanna try out the free version to be sure of what I’m going for before I update to Premium. However, I’ve been editing my site for nearly 24 hours and I have still not notice any changes. Not even my posts appear to readers
