Posts not showing up in WordPress search
-
Hi Everyone,
I created my first WordPress blog on Saturday. I’ve added six posts since then, all on the same page. I added lots of tags, including the name of the post and any other word that would take someone to the post. I did register my blog with search engines – it’s not indexed yet, but I’m sure it will be in the next few days.
But my question is this – when I searched in WordPress today for the titles of particular posts on my blog, my posts aren’t coming up. Is this because my blog is so new? Or what?
Thanks,
VanessaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am new to this site, and am not sure how to search. But on my first try your post did not come up. However, when I went to the WordPress home page and searched there, your post came up at about the 5th pot down. All is well.

Vanna, you have so many tags on at least one of those posts you may have gotten booted off the Global Tag Pages for tag spam. Keep it to a dozen or less.

There is no need to add the name of the post as a tag. Google sees the title of the post.
It takes a few days for your blog to show up in the searches here, so yes there is a delay, but it will show up as long as you do as raincoaster said and don’t over tag things.

I’m not sure, exactly. I thought we’d added something. But then, I might be confusing it for the one where we’re plotting to kidnap internet celebrities.
