Posts now showing a featured image

I’ve just noticed that all of my posts containing photos are now showing a featured image, but this isn’t my doing. When I go to edit post there are no featured images selected.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @spicemadd,
It maybe happening due to a glitch. Your posts are pulling images from its content and setting it as a featured image.Try this(it worked for another user having the same issue), go to your site Customizer. Click on the Content Options tab. On the Blog Display section. Select post excerpt. Click Save & Publish. Now change the Blog Display again to Full Post. Click Save & Publish.
If that does not work,
REMOVE THE FEATURED IMAGE:
Go to My Site(s) → Blog Posts and then click Edit on the post of which you want to remove the featured image. On the sidebar click on the Featured Image tab and then click the cross icon to remove the image. Click Update on the top right corner to save changes.OR
REMOVE THE IMAGE FROM THE POST AND ADD AGAIN:
Go to My Site(s) → Blog Posts and then click Edit on the post of which you want to remove the image. Find the image on the post editor, click on it and hit Delete on your keyboard. Click Update on the top right corner to save changes. Now add the images back to your post and click UPDATE.Hope this helps 🙂

Hi, those three options didn’t work for me. However, as someone else pointed out, when using the Penscratch 2 theme there is an option under the Featured Images section in “Content Options” (it’s at the bottom) called “Automatically use first post image”. When I looked, this box was unchecked, so I placed a check mark in the box and clicked save & update. Then I unchecked the box and saved again. This has fixed the glitch for me.
Thanks for your help, Otpidusprime
