Posts on main page have different background color

I cannot find out why the posts on the left side of my main page has a different background color behind the writing that overlaps the color that is supposed to be in the table. I have it so that the color around the edge of my table have a darker color and a lighter color inside the table. However, the first post that showed on my main page on the left hand side has a an extra background color than what is supposed to be inside the center. The same background color is also behind the links inside the borders on the right side. I have changed all the background colors shown in my CSS edit but nothing is changing it. Can someone help me with how I can get these colors changed? It would be greatly appreciated. My site is below:

I got the main page backgrounds to work but now I noticed that the post title at the top of the post page has the same thing happening on the page with the post. The actual body of the post has the correct background but the title does not. I looked at everything in my css regarding the posts and tried a few things but nothing has worked so far.

In ” .widecolumn h2.title ” make background none as you did with the others. That will take care of the same issue on pages like the “about” page.
