posts on main page show entire content

  Hello,

  I would like to only show a preview of each post on my main page, not the entire post. How do I change that? I looked all over the customize site link and did not see a way. I remember a while back finding that option though.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The Chateau theme you have on your site has a couple options you can use:

  One option is under Appearance > Theme Options in your site’s dashboard. Next to “Archive style” you can choose the “Concise” style to show just an excerpt of your older posts instead of the entire thing.

  Alternately, you can use the More Tag if you’d like to control exactly how much of each post appears. With that tag, you can use the “Detail” style in the Chateau theme and just place the more tag in each post after the text you want on the main page. Readers can then click through to read the rest of the post. (That tag will also work no matter what theme you use on your site.)
