Posts on my home page that I need to change!
-
I need to change the posts on my home page, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how I got to it the first time. I need some help ASAP because I’m trying to get some business cards out with the website address on them but I don’t want to link to a website that is still advertising Halloween parties! Send help please.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi kayesquaredevents,
Are you able to access WordPress.com and login? You should be able to log in at wordpress.com and access My Sites to work on the admin area of your site. Try that and let me know if you are still stuck and I can help you from there.
Thanks,
John H. -
I can log in perfect, and I’m on the screen where you have all the editing options on the left, I just cannot figure out how to change some of the things on my home page…

There are pages and posts. In the left hand column of your dashboard, there is a Posts menu. If you click on Posts, it will bring up a list of all your posts. You can then select one of your posts from the list and then click on edit to make changes.

the onlyrics thing is that what I’m trying to get rid of is not a post. it’s just a little blip on my home page, almost like a gadget or something?

As I look at your home page it appears what you want to change is a widget. They are located under Appearance>Widgets. You should be able to locate the appropriate one there and then edit it directly.

ok great! one more question… because I’m an idiot, where the heck is the appearances button??

Happy to help. Getting started is the hardest part!
After you are logged in click on My Sites>WP Admin>Appearance
or go directly to the admin area:
https://kayesquaredevents.wordpress.com/wp-admin
Adding /wp-admin to the web address takes you to the admin area.
