posts on my static page not displaying properly

  hey everyone having bit of an issue. I made a static page and names it “blog” and directed my posts to go there. However no matter what I do I only seem to get a read more at the bottom and if it is clicked it doesnt do anything. can anyone help?

  Hi adamstone32, have you tried creating another blank page titled “Home” and selecting that as your Front Page? Not sure what theme you’re using, but there should be an option to “Home” as your Front Page and “Blog” as your Posts page.

  the rest of the site is static and I created a blog page to put the posts but not working =(

  I suppose there could be many reasons for that. Maybe you can checked if you have followed the instructions per this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  Alternatively, you could also check the permalink of your ‘Blog’ page. If it’s something other than ‘blog’ at the end of it, I think it won’t work. I have had to delete old Posts pages (and emptied from Trash too) to get this working in my old blog. Make sure it’s not ‘blog-2’ or something.

  Thanks missmiscellany I have had a look in to it but still nothing, I am really scratching my head on this one lol.
