  Hello!

  I’m the admin on a private team blog for my extended family [whom I’ve added as editors]. We’re using the free account and the Blix theme. The problem is the posts aren’t credited to the authors, there’s no “by xxxx” under the title or at the end of the post. I’ve looked all over the settings and can’t find where I might have set something wrong. Is this just not a feature of Blix or is there some way I can set it to credit authors? Would I have to upgrade to custom CSS to fix this?

  you can’t add the “by XXXX” to the Blix theme even with CSS because that’s just the way the theme is designed. I’d recommend switching to a theme that does display “by xxxx” or just type in author’s name in the posts.

  Or use the author’s name as a tag or category on each post, that’s simple and works.

  Thanks for your advice, I’ll just have to try to get everyone to sign their posts.

  I was hoping there was a solution that there was a solution that would limit my cat-herding duties, but it’s not a bad trade-off for some of the other features WordPress offers. :-)

  You could just change themes to a different one that DOES display the author’s name. Try some in the Preview.
