Posts only from one category on front page
-
I’d like to have posts from only one category on my main page, i found that I can do it by selecting category page as a static main page (for example here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/1-category-as-front-page?replies=4) – but I dont know how to set a link to static page as a front page. In admin page I have a drop box that does not contain category pages. Any help how I can to it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How to set a static front page from support documentation > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
These themes (INove, Monochrome) allow you to choose a feature which replaces the static pages normally displayed in the horizontal menu across the top of the blog with categories and has dropdown menus for sub-categories.

Well OK. Thanks for input.
But I’d like to have a category page as my front page – I don’t want a static page i.e. a page that content does not change, but I’ve read that I can set a category page as a ‘static main’ page. Hence the question.
If there is any other way to display only one category as a front page I would be great.

There isn’t. You can have a link to it in a header tab that makes it look like a static page, but there’s no way to make that the Home page.
Be aware, too, that most themes truncate the posts in Category pages.

Full posts or not in category or archive pages
Things to note:
1. “As in main page” means full posts unless you’ve used the more tag or the nextpage tag. In Motion, in particular, the read-more function is built-in.Read the full post > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/
