Posts page doesn’t show page content, only the blog posts are visible

  when I go to edit mode, page contents are visible, But in live only the blog post is visible

  This is my posts page, I want to arrange this blog page in the way below,

  1. A cover pic and a brief about what’s in this page (famous dishes in Sri Lanka)
  2. Posts about certain certain food item.
  3. Those food items have sub categories as well (sub posts).

  first I created a parent (posts) page; main-dishes and child page; kottu (a food category),
  I want to display a page starting with cover pic then a brief , then posts in short to read more and read more open as another separate page. But content in parent page disappeared when a post is created, only visible in edit mode

  Also i cant create posts under child page, can i please get a solution for this

  I want to post food categories and they have sub food categories to post as well. Please give me a solution for this. I hope my requirement is clear for you.

  It looks like you’ve already set up a static page at https://randy983908235.wordpress.com/main-dishes/ where you’ve added a few blocks. If you want a page that includes the above details there, you’ll want to add the following blocks:
  Cover block https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/
  Blog Posts block https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/ Note the various settings available there which should also give you the possibility to add “sub-posts” if you add another instance of the blog posts block and adjust its settings. The Blog Posts block automatically truncates your posts with a link to continue reading.

  Using the Blog Posts block you should be able add posts on a child page, although I think your readers may find this confusing.

  Have you looked at the Categories block? https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/categories-block/ That will allow you to display not only categories, but sub-categories as well.

  Keep in mind that links to categories are dynamic, meaning when someone clicks on the link, a category page is created by the software. That “page” doesn’t exist until the link is clicked.
