Posts page, featured posts, Twenty Fourteen
-
Very new to Word Press and not at all savvy. I’m using the Twenty Fourteen theme and I really like it, but after I’ve categorized 6 posts as “featured” and they showed up in the great grid at the top of the home page, the rest of the posts, the un-featured ones, show up below the grid. I’d really like for the posts to show in chronological order below the grid, regardless of whether they are featured or not. I hope someone can help me – I feel like I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out, and that it should be a pretty easy fix… I hope!
Thanks!

When featured posts are displayed in a featured post slider those posts are not also displayed a second time in the stream of posts on the same page ie. they are not duplicated on the front page of the blog and that cannot be changed.

Hi timethief – thanks for answering my question! Do you have any idea if I could change that if I upgrade my site?
-
that cannot be changed
No. The custom design upgrade cannot be used to chnage the manner in which any theme functions. It can only be used to change appearance.
Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. … http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions -
