"Posts" page has disappeared following import
-
I have been running a WordPress blog on a site hosted by my employer (www.open.ac.uk/vem), and I’ve just decided to move it to WordPress.com. I exported the old site as XML and imported it into a new site here at WordPress.com. All the content appears to have moved across with no problems.
Just one thing is wrong, but unfortunately, it’s a big thing: if you click on “Home”, you don’t get the blog, you get a completely blank page. When you first navigate to the new site, at http://www.valuingelectronicmusic.wordpress.com, you see the posts page, but if you navigate around the site at all it’s impossible to get back there.
I’ve tried playing around with “Front page displays” (under “Reading”, in “Settings”), but with no luck.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The problem is you imported a page called “home” that was probably where your posts were being displayed on your old host, but here it’s just a regular page. If you go to pages>all pages on your dashboard and find the page called “home” you can delete it and it will disappear from your menu.
If you’d also like to add a new link in your menu that still says home but links to your front page (http://valuingelectronicmusic.wordpress.com/) instead of your “fake” home page (http://valuingelectronicmusic.wordpress.com/home/) you can do that using the custom menu feature.
Here are the details on how custom menus work: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Let me know if you run into any problems and I’ll be happy to help you figure out how to make the custom menu work for your site.
