Posts page – OK as Front page, but empty from link
-
Am I being stupid? I have my front page now set to my Posts page (“Diary”) – with no heading of “Diary”, but if I click the navigation link to go directly to the page (or include a hyperlink to it in a page) I get a page consisting of the heading “Diary” but no posts!
I am reluctant to change something again for fear of losing all my posts to date… what am I doing wrong? -
This is what I see when I view your blog:

But the last link regarding Front-Page contradicts the first – and doesn’t work for me. My Posts page (“Diary”) appears empty when it is clicked on in the list of pages – contradicting points 6 & 8

Go to settings > reading and check your settings.
Set your static front page to “Welcome” or whatever you want to use as your main landing page for viewers.
Then set your post page as “Diary.”
Make sure and click “save changes” at the bottom of the page.

Yes I see you now have it working. I might suggest turning comments off for your “Welcome” page by opening it for edit, then in the “discussion” section below the editor text area, uncheck ” Allow comments on this page” and then click “update page.”
