Posts received by email don’t have images

  I subscribed to my blog with my gmail. I receive an email whenever I make a new post. The email has all the text content of the post, but the images are not displayed. Is this normal? Can my email subscribers view the images within the email?

  Did you select in gmail to allow pictures from wordpress? (it will be a prompt below the subject but before the content).
