posts show date later than the actual post date

I am making a blog for a school class project. Posts must be made each Saturday. I have been posting on Saturday afternoons and evenings, but a few of my posts say that they occurred on Sunday. This is affecting my grade. Is there a setting that says I am in a different time zone or something that can be adjusted to show the true date that my posts were entered?

To confirm your timezone is correct know the default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.
Know that scheduled posts do not actually publish until a visitor clicks into the site after the scheduled date and time.
You can edit the post and change the datestamp and timestamp and click update. These images may be helpful:
