Posts showing up out of order

My posts are showing up out of order.
It is showing my first two posts up just below the featured posts, no matter what I do. I want them to be in reverse chronological order, like a blog normally is.
Why are those posts locked up top?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello
Your first post with the blue button (Ohio just effectively…) and the next four (that have the banners on the images for Military, environment, media and election) are all either set up as featured content, or they are set as sticky posts.
Take a look at the “Setting Featured and Primary Posts” section on https://wordpress.com/themes/expound to see how to change those for your theme.
Hope this helps! If you have any extra questions, let us know!

Yep, those are set as featured, just as I set them.
The two posts below those at the ones that are stuck there that I am referring to (“Hillary Clinton is not…” and “Lessons from the…”). Those were my first two posts ever, but I don’t want them stuck at the top of that list forever. How do I change those?

WordPress uses a combination of the featured/category posts plus reverse-chronicallal with the most recent post on top.
You have three posts in December (you can see them here https://apoliticalparadox.wordpress.com/2016/12/) and eleven posts in November (you can see them here https://apoliticalparadox.wordpress.com/2016/11/)
WordPress firsts fills the top sections (the wide one at the top and then the four featured across the second row) and then drops in the rest of the posts below that. So, as you publish more the post will fall down on the page.
For example, if you publish a new military-industrial complex post, the new one will replace the Pentagon story and the Pentagon story will fall into the list below (Above Hillary Clinton…) and as you keep publishing, those posts will appear lower in the page, and at some point will fall off of the homepage.
I hope this makes sense. Give it a try as you publish more content and let me know if you have any issues.

I know that the top 5 posts are my featured ones. I want them to be. That’s not what I’m saying.
I’m referring to the posts below that. The 6th post from the top is my first post, not my 6th most recent post.
That’s the issue.
-
And the 7th post from the top is my 2nd post ever, not my 7th most recent post.
Do you understand the issue now?
The 1st and 2nd posts EVER are locked into the 6th and 7th post-from-the-top position, regardless of featured posts or any new posts that I publish.

“Hillary Clinton is not” and “Lessons” are both dated 22nd November, as are ALL the posts below them. Were those posts all uploaded on the same day or not? Perhaps that is the problem.
-
Great observation @themagicrobot and I suspect that may be the problem.
Would you mind testing this by editing the “Hillary Clinton is not” post and changing the date to November 21st? That should move that to the bottom of the list, as then it would be the oldest post.
If you are working in the blue post editor, click the calendar icon next to the update button in the left hand column. If you are using the editor inside wp-admin (black sidebar), then there is an “published on edit” link in the right hand side Publish box.
Let me know if this works. You can go and edit the dates, or even the time of day if you want them all to say November 22nd, and that will change the order.

These were all posted on the same day, but at different times.
Thanks so much! I didn’t know that I could change dates!
I can actually make them the correct dates that I originally posted these on my other blog before I switched to this one!
Thanks for figuring it out! And my apologize if I was describing it horribly. Glad you guys could fix it for me. :)
