Posts stays in edit mode after published

  Good Day, hope someone can help. I’m not exactly sure how to explain this. But when I write or edit and then publish a post it sort of stays in edit mode.

  For exp. I have a published post – https://brenwrites24.wordpress.com/2023/06/16/rain-mould-and-half-open-doors-our-south-african-winter-adventure/

  But when I edit it the address changes to https://wordpress.com/post/brenwrites24.wordpress.com/12038

  And then it stays like this even after I pushed published. I have to close my blog and then reopen it if I want to do something else or otherwise it just stays in edit mode.
