Posts to pages (and vice versa)

    Now I know that this isn’t wanted by everyone but sometimes it would be nice to be able to convert pages to posts or the other way around. I know that no present code in wordpress exists to do this, however I found this plugin p2pconverter [http://www.briandgoad.com/blog/downloads/p2pconverter/]. Now I am well aware that this is wordpress.com and that custom plugins are not supported, however I would like to know opinions about this. I was going to submit this for review for inclusion using the feedback system, however I couldn’t find it, so perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.

    It’s just an idea, and I’d like to know what others think about it.

    The Ideas section IS the right place for such submissions.

    My opinion is that only beginners confuse the roles/function of posts and pages, and beginners aren’t likely to have many posts or pages, so I don’t really see why we need something special when a simple copy-paste in the html editor will do.
