Posts turn into pages

I’ve been trying to publish a post and when I hit ‘publish’, it publishes as a page instead. I do have a page with the same information that I am trying to include in the post but that’s never been a problem before.

Can you please describe the exact steps you’re using to create that new post? (For example, do you open the page in the editor to copy the information first? And where do you click to open the post editor to create the post?) Thanks. :)

Sure. I have tried creating the new post by hovering over ‘my site’ and choosing the ‘add’ button next to ‘blog posts’. I have also clicked on ‘blog posts’ to take me to the ‘posts’ page and clicked ‘add new’ from there.
Each time I have opened the page in the editor to copy the information, I’ve been copying the html rather than the information from ‘visual’.

Thanks for those details! Our team is investigating a similar problem, but what you described is a slightly different scenario. To start, please try these steps to see if it resolves the problem you’re running into:
- Open the page in the editor and copy the information you want to include in your post.
- Clear your browser’s cache.
- Start your new post (you can use any method you’d like, such as going to My Site and choosing the Add button next to Blog Posts) and paste in the information for the post.
- Publish the post.
