Posts vs Pages
-
My blog is about new music and current affairs. I want to have two separate pages which both feature new posts e.g. a tab for new music articles and one for politics-related articles. At the moment all new posts go to the home page regardless of content and when I add a new page, I am unable to redirect new articles to specific pages. I would really appreciate it if there was a way to add new posts to pages other than the home page. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot add posts to pages as both are different. Posts are dynamic, that is, they change often but pages are static, that is – they are rarely updated.
You should be able to add posts to different categories and add the categories to your primary menu. -
Thank you, I meant more how I have posts on pages other than the home page. E.g. when I look at the list of my pages it says: ‘your latest posts are shown on the homepage’. I want to be able to put some new posts onto other pages.

The latest posts can be displayed only on the homepage of your site. There are very key differences between posts and pages in your WordPress blog – https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

As @4gn3l mentioned, it is possible to *display* your posts on “pages” by using Category pages and a Custom Menu. See more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/view-all/
This won’t change the fact that all your posts will continue to display on the front/home page, unless you set your front page to a static page. More about that > https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
Let us know if you have any other question on that.
