Posts vs Projects
-
Hi,
I am trying to make my blog more rigorous. I am publishing “actions” which I have classified in the projects section and “narrative blog posts” which I have classified in the posts section. I would like to be able to allow my users to click on a tag and find similar projects as the main point of my blog is the actions. The posts are supplemental and will also contain guest posts.
Today I deleted my first “post” and switched it to a “project,” because it seemed like this theme (untitled) is centered more around project functionality than post functionality.
I have a number of issues:
1. I can’t seem to get the project tags to show up anywhere, so they’re pretty much useless for my users. I would like them to appear like hashtags at the bottom of each project.
2. When trying to select the tags for “featured content” they aren’t showing up anywhere. So I cant create that content bar.
3. The page I created “416 days” has a title “Archived” which I can’t seem to change or delete. Please help! I’ve been working on this for a number of hours and can’t seem to get anywhere.
Thanks in advance! :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Portfolios are geared for showcasing creative work like artwork and photography. While you can add portfolios to any theme, Untitled was built before portfolio functionality was added to WordPress.com, so it doesn’t take advantage of all its features, like portfolio tags. You also can’t include portfolio posts in Featured Content. The page you’ve used for “416 Days” is the automatically generated portfolio archive, and its title can’t be changed.
You have a few options:
– Choose a theme that is more portfolio-geared, that includes portfolio posts in Featured Content, like Sketch.
– Instead of using the automatically generated portfolio archive page, use the portfolio shortcode on a regular static page, so you can set any title you like.
– Go back to blog posts instead of portfolio projects, and use regular posts tags. Tags will be displayed along with categories at the bottom of each post, as you can see on the demo.
