Posts with a different date added

    Hi. First of all, sorry for my English. :)

    Problem:
    I’m adding posts on my blog radioskarpy.wordpress.com with a past date. For example todays post with a 23 August 1996 date.

    Will users get a notification today about this post?

    Will users get a notification today about this post?
    New posts will generate immediate email notification to subscribers regardless of the set publish date. So the answer is yes.

    You can set the past date by editing the Publish date while publishing the post.

    Hi there,

    Just a bit more detail: people following your blog via email or who have browser notifications enabled for your blog will be notified, and if you have social media accounts connected via Publicize connected, the post will be shared to those services as well.

    But in the WordPress.com Reader the post will appear at the timestamp at which you publish it. In other words, it will not appear at the top of the various Reader feeds, so it’s unlikely that people who follow your site only in the Reader will see it.
