Posts with no answers: don't waste time

What’s the point of allowing us to see threads with no answers if we have to click all the way through to the individual threads to realize it’s in the staff forum and we can’t help anyway?
Please display the forum in which the questions were made on the main forum pages, so I don’t waste time clicking on things that turn out to be CSS or Staff questions.

Yes, I agree. Especially if they are modlooked. Why modlook questions to the staff forum if they are already addressed to the staff? Just saying…

It makes little sense that can fathom to see Staff answering threads on issues that Volunteers can answer. There are threads on the back pages with issues that obviously require Staff intervention.

I read from the individual forums, not from the Main Forums front page, so I don’t see this issue.
It would make sense to have another column on the front page though with the forum name.

Thanks very much for the feedback on this. Just to be sure I understand what the issue is, are most of you, save for notawoodpecker, saying that you look for questions to answer via the front page of the forum here:

…but since that page has Staff Answers questions mixed in, sometimes you end up opening a thread that you aren’t able to respond to?

(why modlook those questions…)That’s right – there’s no need to modlook anything in the Staff Answers forum since staff does get to all of them, unless you happen to spot spam or something else in there which may need a more urgent look.

@kathrynwp – Yes. Any hope of leaving the Staff Answers forum out of that mix?
@rain – I don’t know if it would be desirable to leave the CSS Customization forum out since there are volunteers, albeit a very small number, who can assist there, but they might still find it useful.

I waste my time as raincoaster has stated clicking all the way through to the individual threads only to realize it’s in the staff forum and that annoys me. Leaving the Staff Answer Forum question out of the mix would make me smile. At present I’m growling …. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr … and teeth grinding when I waste my time as described. -
So in your case, timethief, you’re referring to the unreplied threads view. That’s good to know – thanks for clarifying.
