Posts won't publish

  I’ve spent more than five hours searching google and the support forums for an answer and I’m sick of it so I’m just going to ask away…

  I can’t publish my posts. I hit publish and the icon just spins forever. Sometimes I can’t even get to the point to hit publish, saving draft happens and doesn’t come out of it so there is then no publish button available to even hit.

  The like button under other people’s posts is loading forever, so I can’t like posts. I can comment however.

  I can’t view my latest comments, likes, etc. I hit the speech bubble icon at the top right, a box appears with a spinning icon, but it just spins forever.

  Whether I can get into my admin page or not is a lottery. If it does happen it takes a very long time to load. Frequently I get a ‘no data received’ blank page from google chrome which is the browser I’m using. The same often happens when I try to click through to read someone’s posts from the reader and sometimes when trying to get into wordpress at all (i.e- typing http://www.wordpress.com into address bar)

  Pictures are appearing as blank spaces on the reader now too.

  This is very frustrating, it’s been going on for a couple of weeks.

  I’ve tried using safari
  I’ve messed about with internet options- cookies, popups, htttp yes/no
  I’ve tried changing the theme. Mine is reddle. I’ve tried 2010 and 2011.
  I’ve messed about with google chrome’s settings.

  What should I do? Please don’t talk to me even slightly in jargon, I’m a moron.
