Potential viewers of my site can't see all site pages

My wesite site is http://grimmrussia.org. If you go to:

    Resources

    Then scroll down to:

The 1834 Census of Grimm in the District of Saratov, Russia, dated 2 February 1835; Translated by Brent Mai, Concordia University, Portland, Oregon; Published by Dynasty Publishing, Beaverton, OR, USA; Published date: 2011. Order form.

And click on the “Order Form” link.

Instead of taking you to the Order Form, you are directed to “log in to your account.” I’m assuming happens to anyone who is not me, the website administrator. How do I correct this so that anyone can click to any of the pages? I’ve tested this with three people and none of them can see the page. It looks like they can’t click on a link that leads to another WordPress level without logging into WordPress. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hello @juliemangano,

I checked the link, and it’s linked to the page inside your WordPress Admin – https://wordpress.com/page/grimmrussia.org/1453

When you create a page, it gives you two URLS – see screenshot here. In this example, “https://rosepajarojavolunteer.wordpress.com/order-form/” is the one that I should use for the link available for public viewing. In your case, you have used the one similar to the URL showing in the address bar. It has the page ID and can only be accessed by you while you’re logged in.

In order to get the correct URL of your existing page:
    1. Click Site Pages from the left menu of your My Site page.
    2. You will be taken to a page with a list of your pages. Click the three dots next to the page you are working on to expand the options. Then select Edit. See screenshot here.
    3. Copy the URL that shows under the title. See sample from this screenshot.
    4. Then update the URL of your link for the Order Form.

Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Rose
