    If I upgrade to Premium and want to upload PowerPoint presentations, do I have to do that using OneDrive or can I simply upload the PowerPoint file from my desktop? Will all of the features of PP, including any transitions and audio, work? Will the PP be downloadable? What is the purpose of SlideShare as it relates to this?

    Hi there,

    You don’t need to upgrade to Premium to do this. We allow Powerpoint uploads to the media library on our free plan.

    However, we do not support Powerpoint embeds on any plan, and adding a file uploaded like that to a post or page will only add a link to the file itself. To embed a powerpoint you’ll need to use a third party service like OneDrive or Google Slides:

    Embed From Google Docs

    Alternatively you can also create your slideshow on Slideshare instead of Powerpoint, and embed from there:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshare/

    All these options can be used on the free plan.

    Slideshare is a service designed for hosting slides intended to be shared online, so if you want to share slides on your website, that’s a better option than Powerpoint, which was not designed for this purpose.

    That would depend on the service you use to embed the file, and whether the audio file is embedded in the PP itself, or whether the slide only links to the file on your computer.

    Thanks, I will check on these links.

    I also want to be rid of the ads that don’t go well with my posts. They are in the worst places and are distracting.

    I may want to have a store, audio, video, in addition to my posts.

    Yes, the Business Plan will allow you to add a store and upload audio and video:

    Depending on what you are wanting to do with your store (are you trying to do a full eCommerce store?), the Premium Plan may work.

    You might be able to get by with our Simple Payments button or PayPal integration, both of which require our Premium plan.
