PR newswire
-
G’day lovely people at WordPress,
I am a french-Australian surf traveler who have recently started blogging. The unique goal for me is to show surfers how unreal it is to embark on a good ol’surf trip: I need to make them dream.
To do so I simply make a short film on each destination, showcase my top 10 photos and write a short paragraph about the place (keep it short, entertaining and beautiful)
I am hoping not to waist your time here. I have a genuine interest in understanding better how I can reach my audience better:
I have read numerous of your help topics and daily blog posts to learn about the ultra interesting world of blogging, I get great feedback, people like my movies, but the traffic isn’t really increasing: 11,000 views since June, even despite having some surf websites and magazine talking about my stuff
My questions:
Would the $89 PR Newswire service you offer be beneficial for me?
Could you give me the top 2 things to improve on my blog, that could contribute to growing my reach.
My blog is http://www.theduckwhisperer.com
Thanks heaps. No hurry to answer.
Take care

Howdy!
There’s no single technique for traffic generation that works for all blogs. Formal releases through a network like PR Newswire often work for some blogs, but not for others–generally, they seem to be most functional with “news”-like items–product launch press releases, investor news, local news, that sort of thing.
That said, it’s merely speculation on my part as to whether or not such releases will be effective for your blog. My simple advice is to determine whether or not the possibility of failure is worth the cost–if you deem it to be, then go ahead!
As for growing your subscription base organically, the best way is to try to “reach out” to other blog authors and participants. Contributing in other locations and linking back to your creations are a surefire way of generating more traffic. This includes comments on other blogs and linking to your blog in your signature on related forums, for example.
Of course, creating unique, interesting content is also very important, but you seem to have that covered.
Best,
P. -
