Pre-filled Contact Page Fields
-
With the free version of WordPress I created a Contact Page. For some reason the fields are filled in with my information, i.e. my name, email address and website name. I would think that these fields should be left blank so that a visitor can fill them in and submit the form to me, in other words not be pre-filled with my information. Is this not true? Did I do something wrong when I created the Contact Page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Don’t worry. You didn’t do anything wrong. Those are pre filled with your details because you’re logged into your account. Try visiting the page in a private/incognito browser window or after logging out and you’ll see them blank :)
If I visit your contact page, those fields would be pre filled with my information because I’m logged into my WordPress account.
I hope this helps :)

How do I set an email address for the submitted information to be sent to? For example, if a view wants to send a message to me through this website and have it go to my email. Please let me know!

Is there a way I can have it send to an alternative email address, i.e. not the one associated with the WordPress.com account?

Yes. The link which I shared in my previous post shows how you can insert an alternative email address. You can check it for the correct instructions and let us know if you run into any problems :)
