Pre-Posterous transfer questions

  I have SEVERAL Posterous blogs to transfer to my WP site.
  I plan to update/upgrade my site to a responsive theme in mid-May — but the Posterous transfer has to happen before the end of April.
  Q: Are there known problems in the Posterous transfer process I can address/prepare for BEFORE I make the transfer?
  Q: Will the transferred Posterous content work out ok when I do upgrade to a responsive theme?

  Hi there!

  That’s great that you’re getting a hold of us in advance!

  There is one thing that some people have missed, and that’s when you first get your Posterous export, it comes as a zip file. You don’t need to import that whole thing! Just the XML file that is inside the zip, and our importer does the rest. We have a help article which explains the whole process:

  And as for the responsive theme, as soon as it’s all imported, it may as well be a WordPress.com blog, so everything should work just fine!
