Preapproval of followers

  Is there any way to preapprove people before they can start following my blog? I know that one can set a site to Private, but if I do that, will I lose my existing Followers, or will they be retained?

  Hi there,

  There isn’t a way to moderate who follows your site.

  As you mention, the best thing you can do is set your site to private and then invite only those that you desire to view your site. Regarding retaining your followers if you set the site to private:

  If your site is public but you’d like to make it private, you can change the settings to private at any time by following these instructions. To follow a private site, someone must first be added as a viewer and then they will need to make sure the site is listed in their Reader > Manage.
