Precise editing of posts

You see, http://(email visible only to moderators and staff)/ you may be a bit like me.
I generally work in Microsoft Word offline before sending the document online. What I have just read in this stream, is that this is not a good idea.
Most of my stuff has already been written in Microsoft Word and now I am stuck, because of the formatting issues.
I don’t know what to do.

In the Visual Editor link that timethief posted it stated this:
If you copy and paste text from somewhere else, you may discover that it does not always appear exactly as you would expect. If you use the <b>Paste as text </b> button then a special cleanup process will run to remove any special formatting and HTML tags that may otherwise change your text.
That means that we have to format it online using HTML.
Is that correct?

You know, I really don’t think you should do this typing offline and pasting thing. If that’s what you are doing for your comments here, I can tell you that it isn’t helping. Just type into the Write Post box instead.

Hello raincoaster,
Thanks for the heads upon that. I am actually replying to emails received in my Thunderbird Inbox. I wasn’t aware that my replies are appearing as WP posting. What mysterious thing am I not helping?
I could understand what you’re saying, if I was in WP posting a short blog. But what if I was posting a long Word doc from my DT? I create all of my docs in Word, then, if I want to post them to WP, or elsewhere, I cut and paste. Obviously, that is not the right way to do it. And, after two days of research, help, and advice, I am still no nearer knowing what the right way is. All of this has kicked off because I want to find out how to get my Word docs onto Retword – via WP – intact. -
I already answered fully how to proceed here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/precise-editing-of-posts?replies=32#post-2280678
Therefore it appears that there is no need to keep posting here. -

Holy moly folks!
@davidin2015 – if you want to edit your posts offline, try an actual blog editor as Microsoft Word documents are not made for the web. :)
